I’ve finished a draft, now what?
Congratulations! Finishing your first draft is a big accomplishment.
The first step after a first draft is complete is to hire a content editor. This person helps ensure everything makes sense and slows well. Having a second set of eyes to look at your work is an important part of the process.
Once your draft is intact and makes sense, you need a copy editor to help you with your grammar. These are the grammar nazis of the world. And thank goodness! They help get your grammar and syntax in order.
Last step: moving to publishing. If you’re looking to self-publish, it’s time to move your manuscript into that process. For traditional publishing, you’ll need a query letter or proposal depending on your genre.
As a published author and established content and copy editor, I can help you take your project to the next level of success.
