Author Spotlight: Hannah Johnson
Hannah always dreamed of finishing a novel–a fantasy fiction novel, to be exact.
She tried time and time again, and had multiple novels started, but nothing finished. Hannah became frustrated by her lack of progress. She had spent so many hours writing, and had nothing to show for it.
At this rate, Hannah feared she would never fulfill her dream, and began to feel like a failure for not meeting her goal.
Finally, Hannah decided it was time to get help.
During a chat, I invited her to join the the Writing Gym VIP program, and she accepted. Here, we gave her the steps, tools, and most importantly, the support she needed to complete a novel.
In the Writing Gym, Hannah worked through our craft modules, set goals with her personal trainer, and the first time, she began meeting these goals.
Hannah was elated with her progress, and even more so as she started embracing the benefits of the Writing Gym: she received high-quality feedback from her Writing Coach, Annalisa, who not only brought craft expertise, but also the perspective from daily meetings with agents, publishers, and editors. Hannah began realizing that the Writing Gym was not only going to help her finish her book, but publish it too, a goal that just months before seemed impossibly far away.
In the end, Hannah did not finish her novel in eight weeks.
She finished it in seven.
And that’s no small feat, because her genre, epic fantasy, has the longest word count in the industry: 120,000 words on average.
Here’s the bottom line:
It is possible to finish a novel, and finish it well, in eight weeks. Although writer’s block and procrastination can feel like the real problem for many writers, the real problem is not having access to the right support and feedback.
So, put a stop to all your false starts of beginning novels and never completing them, endless internet searches for more information, or classes that give you information you never actually execute.
What you really need is a proven system that gives you the feedback and the support you need to get over the hump and finish your book.
If you’re serious about finishing your book and putting in the work it takes to get there, I’ve opened time in my calendar to talk with you about where you are, where you’d like to go, and how you can get there.
If you’re interested in getting REAL results as Hannah Johnson did, you can drop yourself right into my calendar. I’d love to chat with you about where you are, where you’d like to go, and how you can get there.
