Ever sit down to write, and nothing seems to flow, no matter what you do? It sounds like you’ve suffered from writer’s block. If writer’s block is a common obstacle for you, read on to discover how you can get over your block and back into the creative zone.
First off, let’s take a look at what writer’s block can look like. Some blocked writers will sit in front of the keyboard or a blank page, unsure what to write. Others will procrastinate or anything else that fits under the guise of “writing” but isn’t actually writing. When we let writer’s block, procrastination, and life get in the way, manuscripts can take years to get out the door, bringing stress and frustration.
That’s why I work with writers on—getting into the creative zone and staying there. Many writers who have worked with me for just one session have gone on to write productively for a long time beyond the time that we were together. This is because I’ve guided them to tap into the way that their brain works to keep their creative juices flowing.
If you’re interested in finding out how kick writer’s block to the curb and optimize your brainpower for the best creativity, schedule a free call with me.
In the meantime, we’ve curated a list of three publishing opportunities with inspiring prompts sure to get your creative juices flowing

You know you could publish that book–if only you could find the time, if only the publishing world weren’t such an insider’s job, if only you knew what the heck agents are looking for.
Want to know how to turn that frustration into publication?
You know your ideas are better than most of what you’ve seen published out there–and yet you stare at the blank page, struggle to find the time to write, and then wrestle with self-doubt, wondering whether anything you’ve written is worth putting out into the world.
The truth is, this kind of self-doubt, procrastination and time-wasting is not getting you any closer to publication because it’s not getting you any closer to completing a manuscript.
And no agent I know is interested in a concept for a novel. S/he wants a complete manuscript in order to even consider your novel for publication.
Here’s the thing: publishers are looking for quality, finished manuscripts.
The faster you can churn out a high-quality one, the faster you can publish.
Publishers are waiting for innovative concepts like yours.
The answer is to create a regular writing habit, one where you can approach the narrative arc with confidence–confidence in your skills, but also confidence that you’re writing to industry standards to create a publishable, salable piece.
If you want to finally finish that novel and make it publishable, the Writing Gym is the place to be right now.
In the meantime, I’ve put together some information to help you on your writing and publishing journey – a list of publishers accepting manuscripts. No-Fee Submissions. No agent required.

The publishing industry is always in a state of change, but a global pandemic has certainly ushered in even quicker and more unexpected change than usual. Now more than ever, success in the publishing industry is dependent on understanding its rapidly changing dynamics.
And where do you get this insider knowledge?
That’s where I can help you:
Over years of working in the industry, I’ve learned how to interpret a rejected manuscript, and I can tell you whether your manuscript is close to publishable, or still very far away–whether it’s an A- and F. Then I can help you get your manuscript to a publishable A+.
I’ve got a direct line to agencies and publishers around the world. 50% of submissions we make in the Writing Gym are to agents I can call up and say “Hey Bob, I’m sending you Sally’s manuscript you asked for last month when we had lunch.” This gets my writers on the submission fast track.
If you’re looking to maximize on this unique time in the publishing industry and in your own writing life, if you want to finally finish that novel and make it publishable, the Writing Gym is the place to be right now.
In the meantime, I’ve put together some information to help you on your writing and publishing journey – a list of publishers accepting manuscripts with no need for an agent.

Publishing– as many of you already know– can be even harder than writing. And what makes it even harder is many major publishers open and close their doors to submissions throughout the year. As if that wasn’t enough, there’s another, even greater obstacle: many publishers require you to have an agent before submitting anything at all.
So many hoops to jump through, none of which allow you to spend time doing what you really want to do: writing.
But publishing doesn’t have to be so hard. If you know where to look for opportunities and support, it can become a relatively straightforward process. That’s what we’re here to do.
We’ve curated a list of three publishers that don’t require an agent and are open to July submissions. Submit directly, whenever you’re ready.

How do you structure writing? This is a problem that many writers have.
Let me tell you something–some people are not outliners but pantsers. It means that they write and write, and then later they come back and add structure to what it is they’ve written.
But some people are outliners. They like to have a structure in place beforehand and plug in their writing to that place.
By all means, be the writer that you are. You don’t have to be something that you’re not. You should enforce your creativity into one box or another because that will not help your creativity flow naturally. And if you need help with structure, you can always call on me.
One of the top techniques we use in the Writing Gym to boost inspiration is short writing exercises apart from your main work in progress.
That’s why we’ve curated a list of three publishing opportunities with exciting prompts to keep your creative vibes on track.
